A garage is a place where motored transportations are placed whether for the purpose of just plain parking or service repair purposes. It is built for personal use at homes or for business reason, but whether the purpose is personal or for business every such place needs a garage opener.
What is a Garage Opener?
Garage door openers design for garage is a motor driven apparatus used for closing and opening its doors. Commonly garage door openers has a switch installed on walls for controlling purpose, other openers are remote driven control often brought along by the car owners attached to key chain.

Chain Driven type – this type of opener uses a chain as belt which is coiled around a post. With its budget friendly price chain driven openers are the most commonly used although it produces more sound and vibration.
Belt Drive Type – has the least sound produced yet high priced. Its belt is made of rubber reinforced by a metal.
Screw driven Type – said to be a power one because of its speed advantage; with its meager movable parts involved it requires no fuss in maintaining and the level of sound produced is very typical. The only drew back is that this type is somewhat difficult to find as there are not much of this type displayed around stores. Regarding its cost, it is of reasonable price and the sound and vibration is minimal compared to a chain driven type.
Torsion Driven – powered by new technology this type uses knots of spring instead of the usual screw, rubber belt and chain.
Differences of Various Garage Openers
The common difference among garage door openers is the method of installation to a door.
Chain Driven Type – installation of this type requires a lot of effort and messy to sum up.
Screw Driven Type – this one is a lot easy to set up.
Belt Driven Type – this type is the easiest to install among the other types as it doesn’t need any complex gadgets just a simple level tool for checking installation balance to prevent future uneven wear and tear issue.
Installation
Before installing any type of garage opener it is important to read the attached installation guide manual to properly install openers. Some garage door openers needs to be attached to steel built T – bar axle before installation process. It is important to keep in mind to place motor attachment well fasten in a secured axle for safety reason when openers vibrates. If ever there is no axle for attachment, a solid metal built brace can be placed over the ceiling for safety suspension. It is advisable to have at least 7 feet height advantage from the floor for an efficient garage door opener.
With opener which comes with infrared it is of importance to install the said infrared on a higher place to damage caused by small animals that could enter under the garage door as damaged infrared can stop doors from opening. Some doors though has automatic reversible feature where doors will stop closing when there is any impediment.

· Remote controlled openers have auto reset features where code is changed whenever the remote control will be used to prevent overriding of other electronically driven apparatus.
· Keypad or touchpad variant placed on the exterior walls of the garage with codex which can be program. For the high end keypad it can be program to lock such as vacations to keep doors closed while away. For openers which don’t come with this feature, this feature may be added as this is optional.
· Doorbell button intended for opening and closing the door.
· Light often comes with openers. Conventionally lights lit up for several minutes when activated until owners can get in there homes.
